Handsan has been the hand care specialist for over 50 years. The introduction of the first Handsan hand cream by Inka Kosmetik Hannover took place in the early 1960s. Today, Handsan products are produced by Lornamead, the same manufacturer as with CD products.

Handsan is an expert in healthy hands. This is already noticable from the brand name "Hand-san." The word "san" comes from the Latin "sanus" and means "healthy". Thus, Handsan literally means "healthy hands."
