Gehwol products are manufactured by Gerlach Technik of Luebbeke, Germany and the names Gehwol and Gerlach are synonymous with foot care around the world.

Eduard Gerlach opened one of the first drugstores in Germany in the 1860's and began to develop products based on his own needs and experiences.  In 1882, Gerlach introduced the first industrially produced foot care product - E. Gerlach's Preservative Cream - which was aimed specifically at the prevention and relief of foot ailments and problems.  By manufacturing large amounts of this cream using the most modern technology available at the time, he was able to keep the price low and the product quality consistent.  Thus was born the modern foot care industry.

Gerlach believes that specific foot problems require specific foot care solutions.  Gerlach currently produces three lines of Gehwol and Gerlach products for consumer and professional use.  Their reputation is well established and their international distribution continues to grow.
